These are a few things I have done for The Scope, a local arts and entertainment paper. Most of these are for a section called the rant farm where people post and "rant" about things that are bothering them. Actually the only ones that aren't rants are the very top one (actually a comic...) and the one with the cloud which was an illustrated valentine. Enjoy! (and check out more at http://thescope.ca/ )

I have been trying to detach myself from deviant art for some time now... I like it but I feel like it's not really good fit for me. I will probably keep posting there for now because I love seeing how many people looked at my pictures and reading comments but I think I will also update this blog more regularly with stuff. I'm back in The Scope! Well actually I never left but my comics did. I decided not to enter From Earth in the contest again but instead went with a new idea. I suppose it's a little hard to explain but isn't much different from From Earth... if you squint. Oh, and keep in mind that entering the contest this year was a last minute decision and these were done in 2 days (2 real life job days with that!).

Here are three more gems (sarcasm). I think I'll do a couple of updates a week and post two or three strips each time until all the originals are done. After that it's back to the drawing board! I also plan to post a different comic. Do you like seagulls? If so, stop by and check it out!

To get the ball rolling I have posted the first 3 published strips. These were published in St. John's free arts and entertainment newspaper, The Scope. I still do freelance work for them but my run in the funny pages is up. There are about 26 completed strips and I may add some more. If you can't tell I'm really not good at the whole blog design/website thing. This is ok i guess, I just wish the strips were bigger so you didn't have to click through to really see it. I'll learn.

Welcome! To commemorate my first blog post I have posted the first ever From Earth strip. This one was not published in The Scope but it is basically a first draft of a strip that was. I always wanted to draw comic strips but could never come up with an idea that I really liked. The idea for From Earth came to me while watching the new Planet of the Apes and owning a cat.
